Dr Vince Andrijich, Radiologist
Dr Andrijich is passionate about high quality patient care and he has a comprehensive and thorough approach to his patients. He is a radiologist with 25 year’s experience. He has come to the Holy Spirit Northside Breast Health Centre from the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, where he headed the Women's Imaging Department for 8 years.
He obtained the RANZCR qualification in 2008. Prior to this time, Dr Andrijich was in private practice in South Africa, where he served as Honorary Secretary of the Radiological Society of South Africa.
He is delighted and proud to be practising at the Holy Spirit Northside Breast Health Centre. The high professionalism of the mammographers, sonographers, breast care nurses, breast physicians, clinical and administrative staff and the state-of- the-art equipment creates a platform for optimal assessment of all breast patients.
Dr Andrijich advocates a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure optimum outcomes for breast patients and is excited to join the dedicated team of breast surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and nursing staff at our Breast Health Centre.
Janelle Hoysted, Imaging Manager
Janelle is the Imaging Manager for Queensland Diagnostic Imaging and will manage all the imaging operations at the Holy Spirit Northside Breast Health Centre.
Janelle completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging in 2005. She has worked at Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital since graduation, which is rapidly approaching a decade. She is a very skilled and competent Senior Radiographer and has focused on interventional and other high end CT techniques for much of her career, inclusive of interventional breast imaging.
Janelle’s calm and dedicated managerial style, coupled with her technical knowledge, will ensure a smooth running and highly efficient service.
Dennis Peel, Sonographer
Dennis is the Sonographer-in-charge of Queensland Diagnostic Imaging at Holy Spirit Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital Private Hospital.
Prior to this Dennis was employed as a senior specialist Sonographer at Caboolture Hospital, scanning the high risk breast, obstetric and gynecological patients.
He has a strong background in women’s imaging, working closely with Radiologists, Obstetricians and Gynecologists, while also having a dedicated specialist referral base that will refer directly to him.
Dennis has been trained and credentialed to perform many interventional procedures including breast vacuum assisted biopsies, FNA and core biopsies, hook wire insertion, breast drainages and other procedures performed under ultrasound.
Dennis is strongly involved in mentoring and training sonography students and qualified staff, with a focus on adapting new techniques to ensure the highest quality diagnostic ability. He has previously given workshops on ultrasound techniques at conferences and had several case studies published. This included one that was using new technology and equipment to find breast micro-calcifications on ultrasound, something previously that could only be seen with mammogram.
His education includes three degrees. These include a Bachelor in anatomy and dissection, another in radiography and the last in ultrasound.
Louise Venables, Radiographer
Louise Venables is the Radiographer-in- charge of Queensland Diagnostic Imaging and the Holy Spirit Northside Breast Health Centre.
Louise is a South African trained Diagnostic Radiographer, completing her degree in 1992.
After working within South Africa for many years and gaining valuable experience, Louise and her family relocated to Dublin, Ireland in 2001. She worked for nine years at St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin where she found her niche within Radiography and developed both a professional and personal passion in Mammography.
She continued to train and obtained her Post Graduate Cert in Mammography from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh Scotland in 2006 and was promoted to Clinical Specialist in Mammography within the radiology department at St Vincent’s Hospital.
Since relocating to Brisbane in 2010, Louise continues to utilise her Mammography experience within breast imaging units. She has worked within companies that have had 3D Tomosynthesis Mammography Units and has worked on the 3D Tomo unit since December 2010 when the first unit was installed in Australia.
Louise is excited and privileged to be joining a great team of breast specialists at Holy Spirit Northside’s Breast Health Centre and being a member of QDI’s team of breast imaging specialists.
