Visiting

Visiting hours: 10 am-1 pm and 3 pm-8 pm.

Please contact us about visiting hours for specialty units.

To aid recovery our patients rest from 1-3 pm. We encourage family and friends to plan their visits around the rest period.

Visiting ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

Visitors to patients in ICU are restricted to immediate family. These arrangements can be discussed with the nurse in charge, who will decide to allow non-family members in on an individual basis.

To request access into our unit please use the telephone on the wall outside the ICU door. You will be required to wash your hands before and after each visit.

Only two visitors are allowed per patient at any one time. We have a visitors’ waiting room close to ICU where families of patients are encouraged to meet.

Please note: There are no bedside phones for patients in ICU. For all patient enquiries, please ask our hospital telephone operator to direct your call to the ICU reception desk.

Staying with children

One parent may stay overnight in a recliner chair with a child up to 15 years of age if required.

Visitor safety

Please don’t use mobile phones near monitoring equipment as they may interfere with our patient systems.

Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital is a smoke-free hospital. Please do not smoke anywhere on site, including the car parks and outdoor areas.
